What is Dysport?
Dysport is a neuromodulator. Like BOTOX®, it freezes the muscles just below the skin when injected. By preventing the muscle from contracting, Dysport effectively works to reduce the cause of wrinkles, which means that your skin will retain its youthful appearance longer. Dysport is a fast-acting treatment for wrinkles, but it only tends to last about 4 months. What Can I Expect At A Dysport Castle Rock Appointment?
At your first Dysport Castle Rock appointment, you’ll meet me, Susie Reese, R.N. / B.S.N. I’ve been practicing aesthetic nursing specifically for the last 12 years. Initially, we’ll talk about your areas of concern and what course of treatment would work best to achieve your desired results. I’ll also take a brief medical history – Dysport contains sodium caseinate (the protein in cow’s milk), so it cannot be used if you have an allergy to cow’s milk protein.
Treatment with Dysport consists of a series of injections into the muscles that impact your problem areas. Dysport is particularly recommended for use with furrow lines between the brow and forehead lines. It can also be used to treat crow’s feet. If you’ve had BOTOX® before, the process is similar to Dysport. Dysport, however, requires more units per area than BOTOX® for best results. My approach with Dysport treatments is to either soften the lines, prevent lines, and/or give you lift where needed. Immediately after treatment
Immediately after treatment, you should refrain from exercising, lying down flat, or bending over in a dependent position for 4 hours. Dysport does not require any recovery time. You’ll begin to notice results within 1-3 days, and these results are proven to last up to 4 months on average.
